Final edit

Hey guys,

Sorry I was out of touch guys, had to accompany sister while she spoke in Chicago, back now.

I can render the credits at about a frame every .7 seconds. Doing that now - Need to know how the final edit of the film is going once I get this rendered? I hope we make our deadline! (though since it is casual it won't be the end of the world).

ok, the film is off to sparty for music scoring... anyone know who did the opening credits? Sparty wasn't added in and I was wondering if someone could help me add him?

How are we doing?! Is the music score coming along? We are almost there! Just one little push more and we are done! I want everybody to get excited again! We have put our time and creativity onto this project and this is the time to be happy and joyful on the fact that we are almost done! Keep it up!

I been working in my spare time i could scrounge up. You gonna love the theme.. it blends SO well with the opening. But tehre is a lot of work to do tho.

Just to clarify things up. Am i also to do sound effects? or is someone else doing that?

Meanwhile.. Keep working towards the final Product. Then send me the file, so ic an brush up the music to it..

Then i'll ask who wants the music file to add it to the Movie

thanks for the update - if you could do the effects it would be great, I dont think anyone else is doing them or has offered to, i certainly don't know enough to do it myself.

I'll see what adjustments I can make in the meantime to improve on it, though in all honesty i think we're all stretched for time. any suggestions sparty?

no word from sparty, he has the final edit, and we're waiting on him for the score. I hope he's doing ok.

Radial is taking a break from the 3d world... we're all audience now, the film just needs to be scored... out of our control and in sparty's!

I see.... Well, I have a friend who is a sound engineer that I'm sure will be glad to help us with the sound if I ask him. If Sparty is too busy, we can consider this as an option. Is there any way to get a hold of Sparty to ask him how he's doing?

he has access to this forum and I sent him a couple PM's on the BN forum. I have to be in the states until Dec 8th, after that Jose we can go with your friend if he's available and willing!

alternatively, we can just skip the sounds all together and post it before long as a xmas present? At any rate, its the thought and effort that should count... hate to put such a tight deadline on it, but lets release (wherever we are) before xmas.

Jose send me an email, I'll reply with the final edit which you can forward ot your friend... just incase sparty doesn't get back to us in time.

I just asked my friend and he says he has no problem in editing the sound effects for the short. Of course we'll have to add him to the credits! I'll send you the details later.

I'm sending my myrmedon and email now so he can send me the current edit of the short, although it would be good if I could get the version with sparty's music, just to make sure the sound effects don't get in the way of the music.

I'll be downloading and attaching sparty's music score next week as my precious computer went down last night - The data is all safe dont' panic! Dell is working on the problem but they can't get the guy out or the part or something for a few days...

sparty, i gave it my best to incorperate the music but i fear I might have done it injustice... if you have windows movie maker you can drop the score into the "audio" portion below the movie itself *which you just import and drop in*.

Thats all i am doing, ill have it posted up as soon as Jos gets back to me with the sound effects, again if anything goes awry with the music's timing, ill take responsibility... in the words of McCoy from star trek "for christs sake I'm a doctor not a musician". read: I dont know what im doing with the music.

would it not be best to use Blender's Sequence editor to add the music and sound effects??

Hi all,

I have received the files from myrmedon and I've sent them to my friend. He is a professional sound engineer, so don't worry, it's in good hands.

I'm also doing some editing on the animation itself as I have found many inconsistencies (extra doors that appear in some scenes but not on others, characters that are orange in one scene and blue on another, and stuff like that). As soon as I have the changes ready I'll post them here for your review. We are shooting for a Dec 23 release, so I'll do my best to finish this on time.
