Zyzzy enters the 20th century...
We're finally getting the internet at home.
Well, at least, we will be. Have to wait for construction to run the wires before we can put in our "official" order. It could conceivably take months though.
Once that happens, I hope to be able to help out a little bit more around here!
We haven't had internet at the house for a pretty good while, and even then it was a really, really lousy dial-up.

Great! But only the 20th?
Thats great news. I remember a while back when we lived in a MORE rural area in Wyoming. We were lucky to have electricity. There we had no net or cell-phone access.
The nearest place for cell reception was on the interstate which was about 15-20 miles from where we lived. Those were days...

Yeah, if this works out I may look into microwave ovens, and maybe even one of them new-fangled horse-less carriages.
The bad thing is that where I am now is not all that rural. We had dial-up a few years back, but it was slow and unreliable, then after we both got cell phones we dropped our home phone line, and with it the internet.
What really upsets me is that where I am originally from, and still have family, in West Virginia, which is 10x more rural than where I live now, they have high-speed for about a third of what I would have had to pay where I live now. But it looks like we can now get roadrunner fairly reasonably priced. It has just very recently been extended to where we are, and my neighbor has it, so just waiting on the last couple hundred yards of cable to be installed.
