I was listening around on some stock music site and i found this piece. it's really awesome and would fit really well to the happy ending of the movie and during the credit scroll.

"CC03
Big Synth Orchestra"

should be top of the list at. hit "play demo" and crank up the volume! http://www.stockmusic.net/index.cfm/page/main.searchMusic?keywords=Big+Synth+Orchestra&Go.x=11&Go.y=11&Go=Go&genreId=All&moodId=27&instrumentId=All&vocalId=All&results=25&trackSearch=1&collectionSearch=1&librarySearch=1

Looking ahead at the music Empty Re: Looking ahead at the music

A few years back I picked up a copy of Magix Music Maker 2004 (http://www.daytrum.com/pctechnology/software/070103magixmusicmaker.htm).

I have played with it some off and on for the last few years.

I am not much of a musician, and definitely not a composer, but with with Music Maker, it is pretty easy to create some music. I have a few songs that I have made, and the quality of the sound (not the quality of song, mind you) is quite good in my opinion.

There are a number of different types of music that can be made, techno, world music, 80's, etc, and one of the choices is a film/orchestral type of music. Songs are made by selecting different loops of melody/rythm/etc (i.e. drums, base, strings, horns)
and stringing them together, mixing them, etc. I'm sure you know how it works.

The downside of this would be that it most likely would not be as good as the linked music. The upside would be that it would be our own creation, it would be much more customizable, and it would be free of charge.

I will try to create a couple of 30 - 60 second demo type songs tonight and upload them tomorrow for everyone to take a listen too.

I may have jumped the gun a bit.

I had done a couple of songs a while back, that I didn't think were too bad, but I had never worked with the orchestra type selections.

I didn't get to spend a whole lot of time on it last night, but I wasn't able to come up with anything that I cared much for. Everything I came up with seemed to have a dark, ominous feel to it.

I've uploaded a couple of little snippets, if anyone cares to listen to them. One is more like a jazz sort of music.

If I can find some time, I'll play around with it some more and see what I can come up with. But I don't have real high hopes.

Those weren't really bad! I'm not into jazz, but I did like the orchestral one. Of course, it had choppy measure transitions but all in all, it's much better than what i churned out when i tried my hand at it!
